The primary mission of the Evansville Parks Foundation, Inc. is to support and provide for facilities, improvements, and programs for parks and recreation in the Evansville area.

Although the EPF works closely with the municipal Department of Parks & Recreation, it is a separate 501(c)(3) entity, fully funded by charitable donations, grants and proceeds from fundraisers, such as Evening on the River, Music in the Park, and the Phyllis Schreiber Golf Invitational. No United Way funds or local government tax money is received. The board of directors is made up of volunteers interested in bettering our community through park development and nature enhancement.
