Message from the President
Welcome to the Evansville Parks Foundation! Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about us.
In 1981, a group of community volunteers saw the need to help improve, protect, and provide financial support for the growing number of parks and recreational facilities, which were then and are now, such a fantastic asset for the residents of Evansville and surrounding areas. Today, the Board of the Evansville Parks Foundation preserves this strong tradition of service and is grounded by our mission.
This year will mark our 39th year of service and our Board Members along with many Foundation volunteers will give their time to the community through organizing and executing two fundraisers:
- 39th Annual Phyllis Schreiber Golf Invitational on May 7, 2020
- Music in the Park – This is a free summer outdoor concert series with food trucks and local entertainment. It takes place every other Thursday throughout the summer, each at different neighborhood parks around Evansville.
The Foundation will continue to support local parks and park facilities through small project grants, all while researching to identify the next “signature” project that will have a major impact on our parks and the community.
I am honored to serve as the Foundation’s President again this year and humbled by the commitment and dedication from our Board of Directors. The Foundation has an amazing executive team who are all committed to our mission. I would also like to thank our general membership, sponsors, community partners, volunteers and all who support the Foundation and our mission to improve the system of parks and recreation facilities in Evansville.
Please consider joining our team by becoming a member, a volunteer, or simply by making a donation to this website.
